ICT curriculum to be improved
At Paralogic we think IT is key within education. So when we heard that the ICT curriculum programme was being evolved in order to keep up with the changing world we thought this was a positive step forward.
Education secretary, Michael Gove suggests that unless you can understand and influence the change technology brings it will be impossible to call yourself educated.
“Technology will change our lives in ways we cannot anticipate in the years to come – and it will certainly transform teaching as the revolution in higher education is proving,” he said.
Controversially following this speech Gove criticised children for playing games such as Angry Birds rather than learning to code. But why does he think children know so much and are interested in technology?
We are just glad that ICT is still recognised as important within education and will help shape future employees of the IT industry.
