The new iPhone 5S will feature a fingerprint security scanner

So the rumours were true, as well as what Apple claims as desktop computer calibre performance and an improved camera, the new iPhone 5S will feature a fingerprint security scanner.

The fingerprint sensor, named Touch ID, is a thin circle around the devices existing home button, removing the need to enter a pin code to activate the device. While it won’t be replacing the need for more advanced security features, such as those required by online banking or shopping, it will work for music and app purchases on Apples own iTunes Store.

We think this is a great way to ensure extra security on the device, especially as many people will be using them for work. We’d love to hear your thoughts, so let us know what you think at sales@paralogic.ltd.uk.
