How do you feel about being scanned while you shop?

Tesco has announced that they will be installing hi-tech screens in all of its petrol stations. The screens will be able to target adverts to customers using OptimEyes scanners.

The scanners have been developed by Amscreen and will be able to identify time of day and date as well as a customer’s gender and age in order to tailor adverts to individuals from particular demographics.

Peter Cattell, Category Director for Tesco petrol stations commented, “We’re always looking to work with partners who provide innovative ways to enhance the customer shopping experience. This new dynamic screen product from Amscreen provides the perfect means for us to do this. The ability to tailor content based on time and location means it can be extremely useful and timely for our customers.”
