Will fingerprint scanners be a feature of the iPhone 5S?

As always there have been a number of leaks concerning the iPhone 5s. Above are what claim to be the first decent shots of it, as featured on Apple’s next handset. Looking a bit different to the current iPhone, or like any phone, it is claimed that the round part is alleged to be the Home button. It has been suggested that the changes may be due to the new fingerprint scanning skills. We think this would be a great way to make the devices more secure, especially as more and more information is kept in email form on people’s phones. If this is the way forward for scanning personally, what is next for business?

The picture comes from an Australian teenager named Sonny Dickson, who has well-placed sources in China who buy Apple prototype parts from factory-line workers. Dickson has leaked numerous details on upcoming Apple products before, including pictures of the iPhone 5S in its champagne gold and gunmetal grey colours. Reportedly Dickson pays about $250 for a leaked part.

Apple is expected to announce the iPhone 5S and 5C soon. So, what would you like to see from the next Apple handset? Do you think a built-in fingerprint scanner a good idea? Let us know your thoughts.
