At Paralogic we have been looking into the new 3D imaging app for iPhones, ‘Seene’ and we want to share our insider info;
What is Seene?
Seene lets you capture and share a new kind of 3D photo that brings together image, depth and movement to create a richer, more interactive experience, all on your iPhone.
What do I need to use it?
Seene is designed for iPhone 4S, 5, 5c and 5s, and the latest iPod Touch. You can also use it on iPad 3 and higher and iPad mini by installing it as an iPhone app.
How do I capture a Seene?
Just follow these steps:
- Tap the camera icon
- Choose a subject that has lots of green dots on it and tap the shutter button
- When the capture guide appears move slowly around your subject, keeping it in the centre of the screen
- When enough info has been collected from an angle, you’ll see its guide segment go green. Once you have four green segments, you’re done!
How do I share a Seene with my followers?
When you save your Seene after capturing it, make sure Share on Seene is switched on. Your Seene will now appear in the feeds of your followers.
Each shared Seene also has a URL which links to a web view. You can paste this link into an email or text message.
Do you have any tips for taking great Seenes?
Pro tip: once the left and right guide segments have turned green, you can tap the shutter button again to finish capturing without completing the top and bottom segments. This is really helpful when shooting tall subjects like buildings!
