3D Systems New generation printers on the way …..

3D Systems have a number of new generation printers coming this way soon including their Projet range including the Projet 1200 which (being about the same size as a coffee machine), but is capable of printing small parts most suitable for investment casting such as dental crowns, jewellery and small prototype components. We have seen some samples and it does indeed produce very highly detailed resin prints.

3DS are also replacing the CUBE desktop printer range with the CUBE 3 and CUBEPRO models. Offering improved resolution (down from 100 to 70 micron layer thickness) they do produce smoother finished parts in ABS, PLA or Nylon which is the good news.
